Finally a dessert shop in San Jose that stays open late! The atmosphere is cozy and modern. I tried the Silky Steamed Milk Egg Pudding and it was literally melt-in-your-mouth smooth. My friend got the Herbal Jelly & Osmanthus Oolong Jelly bowl and it was super refreshing. Friendly staff too!

I love that I can customize everything—taro balls, sago, red bean, you name it. The portions are generous and the quality is top-notch. Also tried the Kung Fu Tea and it brewed to perfection. This place is about to become my new obsession. 10/10 recommend!

I’ve been searching for authentic taro desserts since moving from Hong Kong, and Moonrise Dessert finally hits the spot! The Taro Paste with Taro Balls is incredibly creamy and not too sweet—perfect balance. The cheese foam on top of the glutinous rice cubes is addictive. Will definitely be coming back!
